Description

F. OUILLON-CARRÈRE: a fine quality Art Deco period BRONZE SCULPTURE entitled: "The Sword Dancer".

Charmingly modelled, it depicts the naked young woman, her arms outstretched and her hair in coiled plaits, dancing between three daggers at her feet. Signed and dated 1919. 15ins (38cms) high including the original variegated marble base.

***Fernand Ouillon-Carrere, who was French, worked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This famous sculpture by him was exhibited in the Paris Salon in 1919
