For sale, a fine large Japanese turquoise glazed figure of a Shishi, late 19th century. Very well modelled with one foot resting on ball. Glazed in an attractive turquoise glaze pooling darker in areas. The base partly unglazed and with interesting pen marking details. This impressive figure stands 30cm tall by approx. 25cm in length. It is undamaged other than very small flakes that have been retouched on two the toes of on one paw and one toe on another, extremely minor.
