'Deliverance": a Famous French Bronze Sculpture

Description

Emile Guillaume: a stunning and famous French BRONZE SCULPTURE entitled "Deliverance".

Initially entitled "La Victoire" and commissioned to celebrate the Battle of Mons in 1914, the original large sculpture now stands in the London Borough of Barnet. The naked woman stands tiptoe on a globe, holding a sword, its hilt inscribed with the word: DELIVERANCE. Beautifully modelled and finely cast, it is signed both by the artist (Emile Guillaume) and the foundry: Bardedienne of Paris. 18ins (45cms) high including the base.
