Part of the collection in the Villa Borghese until 1807, whence it was sold to Napoleon Bonaparte and it now resides in the Louvre, Paris .A bronze cast was made for King Charles I of England , and versions can be found in great English Country House collections , such as Chatsworth and Houghton Hall. Good consistent dark patination , with some minor rubbed highlights to the head and shoulders. Mounted on a 'Nero Marquina'/striated black marble base.
