Charming French Bronze by Lavergne

Description

Adolphe Jean LAVERGNE (1852-1901): a charming and quite large French Art Nouveau period bronze sculpture which depicts a naked girl, looking at herself in a hand mirror.

Measuring 17ins (43cms) high, including the marble base, she wears her hair in long plaits, with one falling naturally down her left-hand side, whilst she holds the other coiled up to her head.

Good colour and patina and fully signed in the base.
