A fine antique Flemish pewter flagon of bulbous form, with dome lid and ridged erect thumb piece.
The flagon is in excellent condition with a silver grey finish.
The flagon bears good marks to the base, makers touch mark, ‘hammer and initials I C’ for Jacob Cockelet, who died in 1794 and marked, ‘H.LEYS ANTWERPEN’. H Leys probably took over the business of Cockelet and continued to use his marks.
Early 19th Cent.
