Description

A George II mahogany lowboy, circa 1750, of elegant proportions and lovely colour.

The rectangular moulded top sits above three drawers, comprising two deeper drawers flanking a smaller central drawer, all fitted with brass swan-neck handles.

The shaped apron features a decorative central detail, while the whole stands on early-form chamfered legs

Retaining its original brass handles, this attractive lowboy has a rich mahogany colour and lovely patina, with signs of wear consistent with its age.

A versatile piece of 18th-century furniture, equally suited to use as a dressing table, side table or hall table.
