A late Georgian oak lowboy, with a richly patinated boarded top set over a single frieze drawer with a brass swan-neck handle, above shaped front and side aprons, all raised on turned legs.
Of useful low proportions and distinct country vernacular character, it works well as a small side table, hall piece or as a characterful bedside table.
Very good antique condition with lots of interesting surface wear and a mellow patina consistent with age and use. Evidence of historic, long dormant woodworm. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
English, circa 1800.
