Late Victorian Pine Two Way Chapel Bench

Description

A late Victorian Two Way Pine Chapel Bench.  A well proportioned Pitch Pine and Cast Iron two way bench.  The back can be swung forwards and back meaning that it can be sat on from either side without moving the whole bench.  In chapel this meant that you could face the altar or the font (depending on the ceremony) without moving the entire bench.

Constructed of Pitch Pine and in good solid original condition, perfect for a kitchen, hallway or cloakroom.
