New Hall was a prominent English porcelain manufacturer operating in Staffordshire from the late 18th century until the mid-19th century, initially acquiring the patent for hard-paste porcelain from Champions Bristol works before transitioning to soft-paste and bone china.

Teaware from this period was typically crafted from soft-paste porcelain, bone china, or hard-paste ceramic compositions, often finished with hand-applied enamel colours and gilt accents.

Authenticity is typically determined by examining factory pattern numbers, paste characteristics, glaze consistency, press-moulded relief details, and stylistic markers characteristic of Staffordshire manufacturers from the Regency era.

Antique teaware can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, arranged on open shelving using plate stands, or incorporated as statement focal points on sideboards to add historic texture and refined detail to contemporary spaces.

Antique porcelain requires gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with mild detergent, avoiding abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals, and should never be placed in a dishwasher or microwave to protect the delicate gilding and enamels.
