This is a beautiful, English early 19th century antique bench seat with a lovely, more architectural and decorative X frame design back rest. In superb, strong condition, all pegged construction, having a boarded seat with shaped open arms on square legs that are joined by stretchers. Made in solid pine with remnants of the original paint finish. Lovely size, not too big, perfect for hallways, boot rooms or kitchen dining.
