Fine early 20th century Japanese bronze monkey statue/Okimono,c1920. This is a good sized example weighing 1.3kg and the monkey is depicted in a sitting position holding a traditional ''inro'' belt ornament. It is well cast with fine detail to the features and fur. The metal has taken on good colour and there are nice signs of use/wear on the base following many years of handling. Overall condition is very good.
