A rare late 19th Century richly patinated satinwood side or sewing table, finely hand carved with stunning hand painted detail, rosewood cross banding and line inlay throughout. The moulded cross banded serpentine top of rectangular form with canted corners is adorned to the central reserve with an exquisite hand painted Neoclassical scene depicting frolicking winged putti amongst the clouds, all set within an inlaid border band framed with gorgeous bouquets of flowers. Raised over single frieze drawer with fitted interior and a further workbag drawer, both cross banded with line inlay and beautiful hand painted detail depicting swags and bouquets of flowers. Supported on elegantly tapering square leg with further foliate detail, conjoined with x stretcher with oval shelved undertier.
