A rare George I period oak close stool with later elements.
The hinged top sits above a moulded false drawer front with period brass handles to the drawers and sides, all raised upon bun feet.
The original brass catch to the front of the piece has been removed and filled with oak. Later hinges. Historic woodworm to the back boards which has been treated in abundance of caution. Great colour throughout.
A good versatile piece of 18th century furniture.
