A wonderful, 18th C. Elm West Country Barrell Back Settle of good proportions. The slightly curved back shows remnants of the original paint and the same would be beneath the later painted bottom section if carefully dry scraped back. The curved seat has a beautiful patina from all the use it has had over the centuries.

Despite the obvious signs of wear and tear, this piece remains in a nice solid conditon and is the perfect piece for a country kitchen, hall way or a country pub.
