A very rare collection of Thomas ''Gnomeman'' Whittaker carved English oak figures.
Thomas Whittaker of Littlebeck, Whitby, North Yorkshire. (1910-1991)
All tool carved in the ''Yorkshire Critters'' tradition from a solid block of English oak in Tom''s characteristically rustic style, with his distinctive gnome signature to the back of the plinths.
Featuring a range of the Queens Beasts as modelled around the time of the coronation in 1953.
Offered in superb original condition, with a lovely colour.
