19th Cent. Italian Alabaster Sculpture, of a Seated Maiden, with Water Pitcher By Pugi, Circa 1890
Beautifully refined antique marble statue of a seated water carrier by Gugliemo Pugi the serene contemplative figure of a maiden in classical attire holding an amphora, in contrasting white and mottled grey marble. Exquisite detail to her hands and face, she is wearing a patterned headscarf and draped robe.
