Fine Japanese Meiji (late 19thC) bronze okimono of three turtles, naturalistically modelled as two turtles with finely carved details, signed with chiselled characters Kose saku ?? ? (made by Kose). Measures ca 29cm (11.5in), 17.5cm (6.9in) x 11cm (4.3in) high, weight 2.55kg (5.6lb).

Excellent original condition and patina, with no damage or repairs.

The turtle (kame ?) is symbolic of longevity and good luck.
