Description

This is a charming soapstone incense burner carving of a deer dating from the late 19th Century. The beautiful carving has a good warm amber colour on a darker contrasting pierced base and is a very tactile piece. This has has a small shelf or sconce to the top of the deer's head for incense. The soapstone deer stands 29 cms tall, 12 cms wide and is 6 cms deep.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
