The left hand of Queen Charlotte, modelled resting on a fabric base, grey wash painted, signed and dated. Complete with first edition of The Good Queen Charlotte by Percy Fitzgerald 1899.
Provenance: Madame Thielke, dresser to King George III''s mother, Princess Augusta, Dowager of Wales, until the Princess''s death in 1772, then sent from the princess dowagers household to Queen Charlotte as assistant Keeper of the Robes (Dresser) and was in attendance until the queen died in 1818. Thence by descent.

Mounted on later polished oak base.
The base measuring 25cm x 14.5 cm.
