How many people can sit at these tables?

Many examples on this page are built to comfortably accommodate eight to ten diners, depending on the overall length and leg placement. Longer formats spanning several metres offer even more flexibility for large gatherings.

Are these tables suitable for modern kitchens?

Their robust construction and enduring materials make them highly practical for daily family meals and kitchen activities. The classic aesthetic also bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary interiors.

What is the difference between English and French styles?

English versions often lean towards Georgian and Victorian proportions with darker oak or pitch pine elements. French provincial and country variants frequently display lighter bleached finishes and slender framing.

How can I tell the age of the timber?

Age is indicated by the construction methods, tool marks on the underside, and the natural patina developed over generations of use. Heavier two-plank or three-plank configurations often point towards earlier craftsmanship.
