The listings span the nineteenth century and the early twentieth century, including pieces made during various nineteenth-century revivals of Louis XVI and Empire styles alongside items marked around eighteen hundred. Many examples began life as oil lamps, candelabra, or decorative urns before being converted to electricity during later periods of use. This conversion history is common for antique metal and marble lighting fixtures encountered on the market today.

How do I identify Louis XVI style features?

What materials are commonly used?

The primary structural materials include various marbles, onyx, carved pine, and hardwoods combined with brass, bronze, gilt metal, and ormolu. Fabric elements appear on shades, while painted metal components contribute to tole-peinte column designs.
