How do I hang a heavy oil painting?

Ensure your wall fixings are secured directly into masonry or wooden studs to safely bear the weight of large canvases and timber frames. Position the centre of the artwork at approximate eye level to achieve correct visual balance in your room.

Can watercolours be displayed in bright sunlight?

Direct sunlight causes pigments on paper to fade permanently over time, diminishing the original tones of the artist's work. Position these delicate pieces away from intense windows or utilise specialised UV-filtering glass.

Are these paintings supplied with their original frames?

Many works retain period giltwood or timber surrounds that complement the age and origin of the canvas or panel. Where original surrounds are absent, appropriate period-style alternatives are frequently fitted.
