Description

This is a good large Qing period Chinese Jug in hard paste porcelain dating from around 1870.

The jug is beautifully hand painted in typical ironstone colours with large cockerel amongst floral bowers and a stylised waterfall to the reverse. This is in good sound condition overall with a couple of worn areas to rim and edge of handle as photographed.

The jug has a great shape and bold strong colours. It is a great size measuring 31 cms high by 25 wide and 19 deep.
