A rare and unique Victorian hand painted Staffordshire China Jug with beautiful floral decoration and gilding.

It would appear to be a very sensitive and thoughtful Wedding Present (or Wedding Anniversary Present) as it is boldly inscribed as follows:

“Joseph and Elizabeth Gorse - 1862”

It is a beautiful jug, resplendent with flowers and GILDED DECORATION to top, base, handle, and description.

Condition: good except for some wear to the gilding on the handle and lip, and there is a hairline crack below the handle to the left.
