Description

This is a good, large Sunderland pink lustre Jug with masted ship to the front and maritime and religious text to both sides. The jug is in very good condition for its age with only a faint star crack to the base and a minor chip to rim. The handle and spout are in good condition as is the body of the jug which has no cracks or restoration. The pink hand painted sponged decoration has a good depth of colour with the transfers in nice crisp, clean condition.

The piece dates from the early 19th century and measures 22 cms high and is 26 cms wide overall.
