Description

This is a very decorative jug of scale dating from around 1850. The toilet jug in fluted baluster form has leaf sheathed spout and dolphin handle and is in beautiful classic Imari colours of deep blue, iron red and white. The jug is of a good size measuring 34 cms tall and 39 cms wide. It has an underglaze printed mark and is in excellent condition, there are a few minor firing cracks but these were all part of the manufacturing process around 175 years ago.
