These innovative silversmiths produced much of the work of the radical designer Christopher Dresser and many novelty and miniature works.
This rare, very oversized, Chota Peg probably produced as a whimsical novelty to serve an over large portion of whisky.
The Chota Peg is a miniature jug used for individual servings of alcohol, dating from British colonial India.
Chota is the Hindi word for ''small measure'', used for sun-downers.
Plain, unfussy design that exemplifies the English practical, understated approach to quotidian luxury.
Hand made glass the bases cut and polished with star burst.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair.
The domed lid with inscribed initial.
Height 8'' or 200mm, weight 796 grams.
