Worcester Porcelain Coffee Cup, C. 1752-1754.

Description

An early Worcester porcelain cup, c.1752-1754. The flared cup, rib moulded, and set upon a lobed foot. Having a double scroll handle. Painted with an insect between flowering branches. The rim painted with a continuous border of flowerheads and leaves, beneath a thin red line.

Workman’s mark to the base.

Height - 5.5cm, 2 3/16”.

Condition - Firing faults to the top of the handle. Please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
