Unusual Antique Staffordshire Red & White Spaniel Jug Circa 1860

Description

This unusual Antique Staffordshire Red & White Spaniel Jug dates from circa 1860.

The Spaniel has a perky decorate Tricorn Hat and is sitting up begging, trying to please its Master.

Best Gold has been used to decorate the Collar & Padlock.

Dimensions:

Height: 10.5 inches (26.75 cm)

Condition:

There is a short, old, fine hairline running down from the peak of the hat. There is a short shrinkage line at the back of the footrim which has occured in the making. Some minor paint flaking.
