Rare Early Wemyss Ware Thistle Tankard

Description

Here we have an very early production 19th century Scottish Wemyss ware tankard of large proportions. Red rim and handle decoration with VERY RARE interpretation of the Scottish thistle emblem decoration.

One hairline crack otherwise perfect with no repairs.

These early pieces are incredibly rare to find now in good condition.

SIZE; 4 1/2" diameter. 5 3/4" high
