A rare high relief moulded stoneware jug decorated with foxes and hounds by Minton. The Jug is rare, both because of the subject and the dark green colour of the stoneware. The jug is decorated on one side with foxes and on the other with hounds all in high relief, with a finely modeled fox handle. The design was short lived around 1835 by Minton and was very unusual in the dark green. The base is marked with the model number 20. The jug has a chip to one fox ear on the side and also on the fox handle and has a chip on the the jug lip, all of which are visible in the photos, otherwise it is completely sound.
