A stylish early Victorian burr walnut circular work table with gadrooned work basket and complementing pedestal c.1840. Burr veneered circular lid with moulded edge sat over a matching circular work compartment with burr veneers and gadrooned decoration to the lower section. Complementing tapering barley twist pedestal below with petal design mounts to the base. The tripod foot with angular moulded pad feet, complementing finial to the underside. The hinged lid lifting to reveal an original green silk lined interior with pockets to the edges, storage area to the centre and pull out wool spools to the centre.
