Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency window seats were designed in early 19th-century Britain, characterized by neoclassical proportions, scrolled ends, and reeded or fluted legs.

These pieces were predominantly crafted from solid Cuban or West Indian mahogany, featuring hand-carved details, mortise and tenon joinery, and occasional timber or upholstered seating.

Authentic period benches exhibit hand-sawn wood marks on hidden surfaces, natural oxidisation on unvarnished underside timber, historic joinery, and hand-carved motifs such as reeding or corner paterae.

A Regency mahogany bench works well placed beneath a bay window, within a wide hallway, or positioned at the foot of a bed to add structured neoclassical architecture to contemporary spaces.

Clean the timber surface with a soft, dry lint-free cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year to preserve the natural patina and guard against drying out.
