Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The circular top sits above a lower tier shelf supported by a cross-over base with platform feet and visible grain patterns throughout the polished surfaces. FAQs

Art Deco furniture from the 1920s and 1930s is defined by geometric shapes, clean lines, bold architectural forms, and the extensive use of polished wood veneers with prominent grain patterns.

Tables from this period were predominantly constructed using solid timber frames topped with high-grade decorative veneers such as figured walnut, burr walnut, mahogany, or birch, often finished with nitrocellulose lacquer or French polish.

Authentic pieces feature period-correct joinery, quarter-matched or starburst veneer layouts, natural age-related patination, and proportional weighting typical of early to mid-20th-century craftsmanship.

Place the table as a central focal point in a living space, pairing rich timber tones with neutral upholstery, structured sofas, or contemporary metallic accents to balance the geometric silhouette.

Dust regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish periodically. Keep the timber away from direct heat sources and moisture to prevent veneer lifting or surface discolouration.
