A superb quality antique French two-tier étagère centre table dating from the late 19th century, beautifully crafted in richly figured plum pudding mahogany and adorned with finely cast gilt bronze ormolu mounts throughout.
 
This elegant French occasional table features a striking two-tier design with beautifully shaped tops displaying exceptional plum pudding mahogany veneers, renowned for their distinctive mottled figuring and rich warm colour. Both tiers are enclosed by gilt bronze galleries, while the upper tier is supported by graceful scroll-shaped supports terminating in finely detailed ram''s head ormolu mounts.
 
The lower tier stands upon elegant cabriole legs embellished with gilt bronze mounts, trailing ornament, and decorative sabots, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship associated with quality French cabinetmaking of the Belle Époque period.
