A refined late 18th century Leeds Pottery creamware jug, dating to circa 1780.
This charming Georgian milk jug features delicate moulded ribbon and swag decoration, finely ribbed strap handle, and subtle beaded banding to the body — all hallmarks of Leeds’ neoclassical production during the period.
The soft cream glaze and restrained ornament reflect the elegant domestic taste of the late Georgian era. Pieces such as this were made for tea tables and intimate household use, combining practicality with refined design.
A beautiful example of early English creamware, ideal for display within a period interior or alongside other 18th century ceramics.
