George III Sheraton period canterbury of a rare large size; in faded figured mahogany with ebony stringing around the drawers, the drawers lined in mahogany and with their original gilt knobs and locks, attractive boat shaped top on square tapered legs, 3 original Georgian castors with 1 old replacement. The legs intact and structurally sound.I bought this in Scotland from a dealer who found it in a local house - though with it''s oak drawer lining rather than ash found in Scottish-made furniture, I believe it was made in England.
