A 19TH CENTURY ' ENCAUSTIC' WARE STAFFORDSHIRE POTTERY JUG painted with classical scenes on a black ground, entitled under base 'Hectors body dragged at the car of Achilles' and 'Combat between Hector & Ajax' with salmon pink borders and handle, pattern number 9377. The piece dates from around c.1880 and is in good general condition, however there is an extremely small chip to the rim, as seen in (pic 3). This is still a great decorative piece of po
