Magnificent exhibition quality antique Black Forest bear tree hall stand has two spectacular quality carved bears consisting of the mother bear encouraging her cub to climb the tree, the branches forming coat hooks and the mother bear standing next to a shaped branch which forms the holder for canes, walking sticks and umbrellas with the original drip pan below in the realistic base. This outstanding exhibition quality carved bear hall stand was carved in Switzerland around 1860. Each of these exquisite bears have the original glass eyes.
A highly collectible example; the workmanship is breathtaking and most certainly crafted as a statement piece.
