Arrowsmith Antiques & Interiors has dated this French Ormolu Mantel Clock to the 19th Century.

There are inset royal blue porcelain panels to the case, with beaded and gilt detail, and a finely painted landscape scene to the centre. The dial has Roman numerals with a central scene of a male and female dressed in classical clothing.

The movement is a French eight day duration which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.
The back plate has the makers name -
Japy Freres
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
