~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A fine, early antique French clock by André Hoffmann of Paris, the movement by Vincenti et Cie.
The porcelain has a Bleu Celeste ground with delicately painted flowers, an exotic bird and cupid with his flaming torché. To the top is a motif of cupid, a flaming torché and a quiver of arrows.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with blue lettering and beautifully fretted gilt brass hands and convex glass. It is signed by the case maker André Hoffmann. The rear door is also glazed to allow the movement to be seen.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some some wear in places. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no damage. The dial is also in excellent condition with just some slight marks.

The dial of this clock is signed by André Hoffmann, 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, Paris. He is listed in Tardy, Dictionnaire des Horlogers Francais as working in 1850.
