Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This golden oak Arts and Crafts console table and matching wall mirror set displays a warm brown timber tone with visible grain. The rectangular mirror has a moulded cornice, fluted columns with brass accents at the top and bottom, and a flat wooden frame. The narrow console table rests on sturdy pedestal feet and has a moulded rectangular top, joined centrally by curved wrought iron stretchers. Both pieces are in good condition. The table measures 84 cm high, 150 cm long and 50 cm deep, while the mirror stands 119 cm high and 94 cm wide. Placed in a hallway or beside the front door, this set provides a practical surface for daily essentials and a reflective glass surface for checking appearance before leaving the house.

FAQs

Emerging in the late nineteenth century, the Arts and Crafts movement emphasised traditional craftsmanship, honest construction methods, visible joinery, and the natural grain of solid timber over mass production.

These tables typically combine solid oak with hand-forged wrought iron stretchers, featuring pegged joints and architectural mouldings.

Look for quarter-sawn oak, visible mortise and tenon joinery, original iron hardware, and smooth wax finishes rather than synthetic varnishes.

Place the console table and mirror in a hallway or foyer with neutral walls to highlight the warm wood tones and metalwork.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft cloth and apply clear beeswax polish annually to protect the timber finish and prevent drying.
