Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A wonderful Edwardian antique garden bench seat by Heals of London around 1900. A rare piece in fabulous condition and the teak timbers are a lovely even colour.
Along the back rail, the beautiful poem is inscribed, The kiss of the sun for a pardon, one is nearer to God’s heart in a garden. The song of the birds for mirth, than anywhere else on earth. In such good, original and complete condition, rare to find. An ideal present for a keen gardener!
