A very fine early 20th Century French parcel gilt marble top console table and matching giltwood mirror of exceptional quality. The original sectioned mirror glass plate of arch top form is set within a stunningly hand carved, moulded and pierced giltwood and hand painted frame with beautiful decorative motifs of trailing foliate, lambs tongue and diamond pattern detail. Surmounted with an elegantly ornate, centred crest composition comprising of centred cartouche with cabochon and diamond and bead detail flanked an arrangement of scrolls, trailing foliate, flowerhead and ruffles. The finely carved parcel gilt and hand painted console table with a fabulous moulded Rosso Levante marble top raised over panelled frieze with a matching centred arrangement of cartouche with cabochon flanked with scrolls, trailing foliate and flowerhead detail, supported on elegant, moulded tapering leg with acanthus detail conjoined with curved concave stretcher.
