A charming large antique Victorian walnut hanging wall shelf dating from circa 1880 by JAS Shoolbred. Having four tiers with fretwork sides it has good original colour and patina. These shelves are a really stylish statement piece that would grace any room. Stamped JAS Shoolbred to back.
James Shoolbred & Co or also known as Jas Shoolbred was established in the 1820’s as a draper’s shop, at Tottenham Court Road, London. By the 1860’s, the company began designing, manufacturing and selling its own high quality antique furniture in their thriving and fashionable furniture shop.
