A very unusual and interesting Staffordshire loving cup. The cup is relief moulded with various gamebirds and animals as well as a dog and guns. The handles are beautifully modelled and shaped. The whole piece is wonderfully coloured in enamels with a bold green background and then all the creatures painted in bright and varied colours. I have never seen this model before nor one so elaborately coloured. The whole is in good condition, there is the odd minor loss to the enamel colours and a chip to the rim. The loving cup is a rare and unusual example with a great decorative appeal.
