How do I clean a silver frame?

Use a soft microfibre cloth specifically designed for precious metals to gently polish the exterior surfaces. Avoid harsh abrasives that might wear away fine engine-turned or embossed details. Keep cleaning compounds away from any exposed wood, velvet, fabric, or paper backing components located on the reverse of the object.

Can these frames be hung on walls?

Certain examples feature dual functionality allowing both wall mounting and desk display via a hinged easel back. Check the reverse construction to confirm whether hanging loops or rings are present. Heavier sterling silver pieces typically rely solely on easel stands rather than wall fixings.

What photo size fits my frame?

Measure the inner rectangular aperture or viewing window rather than the outer dimensions of the silver border. This inner measurement corresponds to the photograph size required. Remember that oval, heart, and circular apertures crop the corners of standard rectangular prints.

How do I insert a photograph?

Access the interior by releasing the wooden backing board secured by small clips, turn-buttons, or sliding mechanisms. Place your picture behind the glass panel before securing the backing back into position. Handle internal velvet and paper linings with care to prevent tearing during the replacement process.
