How do I hang a crystal basket chandelier?

These chandeliers require secure ceiling anchorage due to the combined weight of the glass and metal components. Professional installation ensures the electrical wiring supports the specific drop length. Most fixtures connect to a standard ceiling rose using the original brass or metal mounts supplied with the piece.

What rooms suit a bag chandelier?

Compact bag and dome top chandeliers suit hallways, smaller reception rooms, and bedrooms with limited ceiling height. Their vertical profile provides focused illumination without dominating the space. Larger multi light tent chandeliers work effectively in formal dining spaces and high ceilinged drawing rooms.

How do I clean cut crystal lighting?

Remove dust gently using a soft microfibre cloth while the chandelier remains suspended from the ceiling. For a deeper clean, detach individual prisms and wash them in lukewarm soapy water. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners that might dull the surface of the glass or damage the brass and ormolu mounts.

What is the difference between Empire and Louis Revival styles?

French Empire style lighting relies on strict symmetry, tent formations, and classical military or laurel motifs in the brass mounts. These designs focus on cascading crystal waterfalls. Louis Revival pieces draw inspiration from earlier royal French aesthetics, often incorporating more ornate scrollwork and elaborate gilt bronze detailing.
