Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

FAQs

The Arts and Crafts movement emerged in Britain during the late 19th century as a reaction against mass production, promoting traditional craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and simple utility.

Pieces from this era typically utilise solid native hardwoods like oak, often featuring visible construction details such as pegged joints, quarter-sawn surfaces, and minimal applied ornamentation.

Authentic items generally display characteristic hand-crafted joinery, subtle natural grain patterns, unpretentious forms, and occasionally makers marks or guild labels associated with the period.

This furniture style integrates well into contemporary spaces by pairing its warm wooden tones with neutral walls, minimalist ceramics, and organic textures to highlight its structural form.

Preservation involves maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent timber fading, and occasionally applying natural beeswax to nourish the wood finish.
